Corné Hermus
Corné was born in Breda and lived in Moerdijk until he was 10. He grows up on his parents' arable farm. In 1972, the Hermus family moved to Lelystad to continue the arable farm there. Horse breeding is already in Corné's blood, both his grandfather and father bred Belgian draft horses for farm work.
Corné took over the company in 2002, with his focus mainly on arable farming. Both his daughters started riding at a young age and they have several care ponies and horses, which eventually led to the purchase of their first mare. His eldest daughter then chooses to study at Deurne. The mare can then enjoy her retirement on the farm with the Hermus family. A Kennedy mare with interesting blood. Out of old interest and purely for the hobby, Corné breeds a foal here. This led to his interest in breeding good bloodlines with a lot of sport and high-quality dressage foals with a good character. This turns out to be the cradle of Hermus Horses.
The company now has around 25 horses, including the stallion Goliath/Owen (gladiator x obelisk), who will be designated NRPS in 2022.
